Being born and raised in Western Wyoming on the Idaho border gave me tons of outdoor opportunities. Hunting, fishing, and trapping or riding horses is where I could be found in my younger years. If it had horns, hair, scales, or antlers in that neck of the woods, I chased it, depending on the season. Any excuse to be outdoors was good for me. Growing up in a ranching/hunting lifestyle helped mold me into the man I am today. Hard work is just a part of everyday life on the ranch or in the hills. I am a morning person, which I am sure comes from my dad, and if I’m not up by 5:00 a.m., something is probably wrong. I love mornings and the excitement of what a new day has in store.

I started guiding at the ripe old age of 18 and have never looked back. From a young age, I knew what I wanted to do and that was to just be in the outdoors. Guiding fly fishing trips in the summer, chasing bucks and bulls in the fall, predator hunting and ice fishing throughout the winter, and then baiting/spotting and stalking bears in the spring was my yearly routine.

I love the hunting industry and lifestyle that it represents. It has definitely changed some in the last 25 years (some good, some not so good), but the people, for the most part, have stayed the same. We are all just trying to enjoy our passion for hunting and the outdoors. That is the best part of my job, getting to help fellow sportsmen with their hunting adventures.
