Huntin' Fool Adventures President JOSH HARRIS

I was born and raised in the small Northern Utah town of Tremonton where I was introduced at an early age to some of the best hunting and fishing the West has to offer. For generations, my family - both men and women - have embraced the outdoors as a way of life. Hunting, trapping, fishing, and camping are more than hobbies for us; they’re woven into the very fabric of who we are.

These pursuits have been lifelong passions of mine, instilling in me a deep appreciation for the outdoors and all it provides. From childhood through my young adult years, the mountains were where I felt most at home. They became my playground, my sanctuary, and my equalizer - free from the noise of the world and the pressures of modern life. I still retreat to them as often as I can. Many of my most treasured memories are and were made in the mountains with family and friends, especially with my grandpa, who was my greatest role model. He didn’t just teach me how to live, he lived. And because I was always by his side, I learned by watching and walking in his footsteps.

Growing up in a small farm town, my youth was filled with hunting, fishing, trapping, camping, four-wheeling, sledding, football, and all kinds of good, clean fun, with a little mischief sprinkled in for good measure.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of hunting and fishing all over the world, taking world-class trophies with archery, muzzleloader, and rifle equipment. For more than two decades, I’ve applied for tags and built preference points in states across the country. I thrive on the adventure of new locations and the challenge of unfamiliar species, with a special passion for pursuing big game in rugged and remote places. I have completed my North America Grand Slam of Wild Sheep, and my journeys have taken me throughout Alaska, Canada, Asia, South America, the South Pacific, and across the western United States. There’s nothing quite like experiencing a hunt or a place for the first time. That thrill is what drives me. It’s also what fuels my pursuit of achieving the North American Super Slam, amongst other slams available to pursue today.
