I was fortunate to be raised by a mom and dad who were willing to take on any adventure that crossed their paths. As a result, I had lived in seven different western states by the ripe old age of 13. That lifestyle led me to realize that if you aren’t exploring the wild places this world has to offer, you’re missing out. I use hunting as my main excuse to seek out new adventures and explore that world as often as I can.

My hunting travels have enabled me to hunt and/or scout 13 different states, in addition to a bowhunting trip in Africa. Some of my favorite experiences have occurred on the two self-guided moose hunts I’ve shared with a good buddy in Alaska.

I have been researching hunting opportunities in my own unique ways for years as I’ve always believed that being prepared is one of the most important ingredients for success in the field and protein in the freezer. I find that the research component is nearly as much fun as a hunt, and I am looking forward to sharing the knowledge I’ve gained from that with our members. I focus most of my hunt time and research on tags that are either over-the-counter or available with a three-year or shorter waiting period to draw. I love to hunt every year and I know our members do too, so I think this emphasis will be helpful for members who are between the tough-to-draw tags.
