Accommodations are comfortable and well-suited for a quality Western hunting experience. Most hunts include lodging in a ranch house, lodge, or modern cabin located on or near the hunting property. LICENSE INFORMATION:
In Wyoming, obtaining a Shiras moose tag is most commonly done through the state’s limited-entry draw system. These tags are highly sought after and considered once-in-a-lifetime opportunities—especially for non-residents, who receive only a small percentage of the total tags available.

Wyoming uses a preference point system, and most successful applicants have built up 20 or more points, though a small portion of tags are awarded randomly each year. The application period typically opens in early January and closes by March 1. Draw results are released in early May.
