Description
ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter is one of the oldest and most established outfitting businesses in Wyoming, proudly family owned and operated for generations. The guides are lifelong locals who have spent their entire lives living, hunting, and exploring the area. With a deep passion for the Wyoming wilderness, they are enthusiastic about sharing it with others. Since 1936, the outfitter has been leading hunters to exceptional big game and trophy animals, maintaining an impressive record of success. Whether the goal is Elk, Moose, Sheep, Mule Deer, Antelope, Mountain Lion, or Black Bear, this outfitter offers expert guidance and a proven track record across a wide range of hunts.
HUNT DETAILS:
These elk hunts are geared for hunters who enjoy both the adventure of elk hunting and the beautiful outdoors of Wyoming backcountry. They offer four comfortable and productive camps for you to choose from. Two of the camps are drive in camps and two and pack-in camps which gives them an advantage of being able to move from camp to camp if the need arises.
These elk hunts are traditional horseback hunts with the most qualified guides any one could hire. A few of their guides have nearly 30 years experience in guiding hunters. They have a great success rate with the average bull being 280-315 class.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
This outfitter offers comfortable and well-organized accommodations for their Wyoming elk hunts, with a mix of two drive-in and two pack-in backcountry camps. The drive-in camps provide easier access while still placing hunters close to productive elk country, featuring wall tents, wood stoves, hearty meals, and essential amenities. For those seeking a more remote, traditional Western experience, the pack-in camps are accessed by horseback and located deep in the backcountry—ideal for reaching less-pressured elk herds. Both camp styles are staffed with experienced guides and camp crews who ensure a safe, enjoyable, and effective hunting experience in some of Wyoming’s most scenic and game-rich terrain.
LICENSE INFORMATION:
Licenses for all seasons and hunts in Wyoming are allocated through the state draw. Each unit and season require different numbers of preference points to draw a license. Huntin' Fool License Application Service will help you apply at the time of application.
