ABOUT OUTFITTER:
For this HFA Endorsed Outfitter, outfitting is not just a hobby, it is their way of life, and more than that, it's their passion. The outfitter gives 110% everyday and go the extra mile to assure that every person they guide has a successful hunting trip and an awesome outdoor experience. They spend each summer preparing for the fall by setting up camps, and putting in time scouting for monster buck deer, trophy bull elk and elusive big horn rams. They invite you to come and experience a great hunting trip and the breathtaking mountains of western Wyoming.
HUNT DETAILS:
They are a top-tier outfitter specializing in guided black bear hunts during the spring and fall seasons in western Wyoming. Their hunts take place over some of the most productive and highly coveted bait sites in the region, ensuring a high-quality hunting experience. This area is renowned for its diverse color phase bears—including blonde, cinnamon, and black. Hunts are primarily conducted over bait, with some opportunities for spot-and-stalk as well.
Most days you will have a big breakfast and lunch and head out for the afternoon to sit the bait sights. Most of these areas are accessed by horseback and require a 20-60 mini ride. You will sit up 80-250 yards away from the baits and wait for the right bear!
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Accommodations include pre-set backcountry camps with cozy 10x12 sleeping tents for two, equipped with cots, mattresses, lanterns, and wood stoves. The outfitter also offers lodge-based and town-based hunts, allowing for greater mobility and access to a wide hunting area. Lodge hunts utilize horses to reach high mountain basins and canyons, with hearty meals provided daily, including a full breakfast and packed lunch for the field.
LICENSE INFORMATION:
Black bear licenses can be purchased over the counter upon arrival for the hunt. Spring Bear season runs from May 1st – June 15th, with the fall season open September 1st – October 31st.
