Description

ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA-Endorsed Outfitter is a dedicated family of professional hunters and outfitters, offering both drop camps and fully guided hunts for elk, mule deer, and bear. They welcome you to their camps for an unforgettable adventure, where their passion for the outdoors shines through. Their mission is to share their deep knowledge and love of nature with fellow enthusiasts, providing an opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse in the thrill of the hunt.

HUNT DETAILS:
They create high-quality big game hunts and camps because they believe being outdoors should still feel comfortable and enjoyable. Their camps are intentionally kept small and personal—they only guide 18 hunters per year across all seasons, ensuring each trip is meaningful and never overcrowded. Their goal is to give you an experience you’ll cherish and look forward to repeating year after year. Built on faith, hard work, and passion, this business is the realization of a dream—and now they’re living it while helping others do the same.

Their hunts target elk and mule deer across a diverse landscape—from lower elevation pinyon-juniper stands and sagebrush flats to higher elevations dotted with dark timber, aspen groves, and open sage. Elevation ranges from 4,327 to 8,968 feet, and the climate is generally milder than many other parts of Colorado.

The terrain varies greatly, from rolling hills of sagebrush to rugged, steep-sided canyons. This is no easy hunt—they’re serious when they say you need to come physically prepared. The landscape is rough, rocky, and remote, with very limited access by 4x4 vehicle. Expect to hike. A lot. Physical conditioning is essential, and they can’t emphasize that enough. You’ll be chasing wild elk and mule deer in some of Colorado’s most breathtaking backcountry—so bring good boots, a camera, and a sense of adventure. Game movement from the high country to the lowlands depends on both weather and hunting pressure, so be ready to go wherever the animals lead.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
These are classic wall tent-style camps, offering a true backcountry hunting experience feel. Each camp includes separate sleeping tents for clients, a dedicated cook tent, and hearty meals served three times a day—including a hot breakfast and a satisfying dinner. Tents equipped with wood stoves for warmth and comfortable cots for restful sleep. Hot showers are available on-site to help you stay refreshed throughout your stay.

LICENSE PROCESS:
Licenses for second season, and third season rifle in Colorado are available over-the-counter. The state uses a preference point system to allocate archery, muzzleloader, first rifle, and late rifle licenses in limited units. Each unit and season require different numbers of preference points to draw a license. Huntin' Fool License Application Service will help you apply at the time of application.
