Your adventure begins with a scenic 40-minute chartered flight from Nome to their remote base camp. From there, most hunts take place from strategically located spike camps, maximizing your chances of success.

HUNT DETAILS:
A short 40-minute flight brings you to a remote base camp, where your caribou hunt begins. Most hunts take place from strategically placed spike camps, increasing success rates. Using a fleet of enclosed 8-wheel Argos, hunters stay protected from wind and rain while searching for a trophy bull. Final stalks can range from 100 yards to a mile.

These 6-day hunts include travel days on both ends. Hunting methods vary, including spot-and-stalk and still hunting, allowing flexibility based on conditions. While the outfitter prefers rifle hunters, archery arrangements may be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

August is Alaska’s rainy season, so hunters should prepare for wet conditions, as well as thick gnats and mosquitoes—bug nets are recommended. This pristine hunting area remains largely untouched, with a focus on minimizing impact.

The terrain is a mix of boreal forests, tundra, wetlands, and coastal areas, providing diverse hunting challenges. While caribou populations fluctuate across Alaska, this region maintains a strong, healthy herd. ACCOMMODATIONS:
Accommodations range from comfortable cabins at base camp to well-equipped spike camps featuring a cabin and spacious Arctic oven tents with cots. For maximum mobility, hunters may also utilize lightweight pup tents when necessary.

LICENSE INFORMATION:
Over-the-counter harvest tickets are available for these hunts. Your license and tags can be purchased online through the ADFG website at least a month prior to the hunt.
