West Texas Backcountry Trophy Aoudad

This outfitter has been in operation since 1997 and offers hunts in multiple states for various species. One thing this outfitter knows is sheep. Whether it be Desert Bighorn Sheep in New Mexico, or Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep in Colorado, this outfitter knows what it takes to hunt and harvest mature rams.

This hunt if for free range trophy Aoudad on over 65,000 acres of prime real-estate located in the remote backcountry of West Texas. This country is sheep country, and it's some of the nastiest and roughest mountains you can imagine. Exactly the kind of country Aoudad like to call home. With that being said, the Aoudad in this area are exceptional. No matter which way you look at this hunt, just plan on earning your sheep.

The outfitter will be offering hunts here on a very limited basis. On this incredibly remote ranch they offer only 6 spots per year, as they work with the owners towards a long term management goal of upper-echelon rams. They are looking to harvest rams that are 10 plus years old, and that are over the 29-30”+ mark.

This is not a high fence hunt in any way, shape, or form. They have nice road access that will be traveled by way of side-by-side UTV’s. Hunts are 5 days long and includes a guide, lodging, and meals.

Your guide will pick you up at the El Paso Airport and take you to Cabela’s for your tag. It’s over 2 hours from the pavement to the ranch house. The ranch is incredible, and it’s far away from civilization, making it a very special place to hunt. It’s not the Ritz, but offers a hot shower and a roof that’s located right on the ranch, consider it a small step above camping.
