ABOUT OUTFITTER:
Born and raised in Alaska, this HFA Endorsed Outfitter harvested his first Alaskan big game animal at the age of ten, sparking a lifelong passion for hunting and the wilderness. After graduating from school in New Hampshire, he began his professional guiding career at 18. As a licensed Master Guide, he has spent over 30 years hunting and guiding throughout Alaska and now operates in three distinct regions, specializing in Trophy Dall Sheep, moose, grizzly, and brown bear.

Guiding is his true passion, and he takes great pride in sharing the experience with his clients. Whether pursuing a trophy Dall Sheep, brown bear, moose, or grizzly, his greatest satisfaction comes from witnessing the excitement and joy of hunters as they capture the moment with their hard-earned trophy. His small, personalized operation is dedicated to providing top-quality, fair-chase hunts. With a strict one-on-one hunter-to-guide ratio and a limited number of hunters accepted each year, he ensures a superior rewarding experience. His commitment to ethical hunting, safety, and success—combined with game-rich areas and exceptional trophy quality—has led to consistently high success rates and a loyal base of returning hunters.

HUNT DETAILS:
These trophy Dall Sheep hunts take place in the central Brooks Range, where this outfitter has been successfully hunting for over 20 years. Located 100 miles north of the Arctic Circle, the remote tent camp—featuring a spacious dining tent and comfortable sleeping tents—is set on a pristine high-mountain lake. With the stunning Brooks Range as a backdrop, this hunt is both physically demanding and incredibly rewarding. Unlike many other areas in the state, hunting pressure here is minimal, providing excellent opportunities for trophy Dall Sheep.

This is a true backpack-style, spike-camp hunt that requires hunters to be in top physical condition. The outfitter has maintained exceptional success in this exclusive area, which spans two guide-use areas within National Wildlife Refuges. Considered one of North America's most coveted big game trophies, the elusive Dall Sheep thrives in this rugged terrain. Typically, hunters spend four to five days at base camp before—if necessary—backpacking to spike camps, which are about a six-hour hike away. However, thanks to the camp’s high-mountain location, hunters are already in prime sheep country, with trophy rams often spotted from camp. Many outstanding rams have been harvested within 1.5 miles of base camp.

Offering a traditional, authentic Alaskan wilderness hunt, this outfitter prioritizes comfort, attention to detail, and quality service. With excellent food, dry accommodations, and a focus on adventure, hunters can expect a true backcountry experience while enjoying the best of what Alaska has to offer.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
You'll stay in wall-style tents at base camps and lightweight backpacking tents at spike camps, enjoying all the wilderness comforts that don’t require electricity. At base camp, hearty full-course meals include eggs, bacon, pancakes, omelets, fresh fruit, smoked salmon, steak, chicken, wild game, pasta, salads, and fresh bread. In spike camps, you'll be provided with a selection of delicious, high-energy lightweight meals to keep you fueled for the hunt.

LICENSE INFORMATION:
Over-the-counter harvest tickets are available for most areas and species. Your license and tags can be purchased online through the ADFG website at least a month prior to the hunt.
