ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter's priority is providing hunters with the experience of a lifetime. With extensive knowledge and deep pride in their work, they understand how important it is to choose the right outfitter—especially with Iowa tags being difficult and expensive to obtain. Hunters are given access to fresh, highly managed land with minimal pressure, increasing the chance of encountering mature Iowa whitetails. While success isn’t guaranteed, the extensive pre-season and in-season scouting ensures a strong opportunity. Located in Southwest Iowa, the terrain—rich with CRP, hardwoods, and farmland—offers ideal habitat for both whitetail and turkey, creating a truly memorable hunt.
HUNT DETAILS:
ThE outfitter hunts nearly 7,000 acres and fully understands that low pressure is the key to harvesting a big whitetail. Whether they own, lease, or have access to the ground, quantity of hunt-able areas is far from an issue. You will hunt fresh land that is not over pressured, and as a general rule they do not hunt the land themselves or save the better land for certain people or charge more for a certain farm or area. All of their hunters receive equal treatment. They do an extensive amount of scouting before season and during the season to give you the best opportunity at harvesting an Iowa giant. Feeding Rack 1 Xcellerator mineral and planting food plots ensures them that their deer herd will be healthy and plentiful each and every year. The terrain in their areas is comprised of corn fields, soy bean fields, hay fields, CRP fields, hardwoods, and large ditches and draws full of cedars and trees.
Transportation to and from hunting stands is furnished, and all tree stands are hung prior to the hunt. With over 250 tree stands and blinds set personally by the outfitter you can rest assured that your experience will be optimized to the fullest. All of their stands and or blinds have been placed where they are, based on deer movement, patterns, food plots, bedding and feeding areas, and past scouting. There are extra blinds and stands available if they need to move you as well. Trail cameras are hung year round, and all of the areas and farms have been pre-scouted as to ensure the best locations possible to strategically place you in the most optimal location.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
The lodge offers all the comforts of home, with five fully furnished bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a laundry room with washer, dryer, and half bath. Guests have access to a full kitchen with a five-person island, a dining area, and a spacious main room featuring couches and recliners. Two gear rooms keep hunting equipment organized, while a covered patio with grill and a large heated shop for skinning and meat processing add convenience. All meals are provided, including breakfast, lunch, and hearty home-cooked dinners.
LICENSE INFORMATION:
Nonresidents must apply online for a general deer or antlerless-only combination license through a lottery system. If licenses remain after the draw, they are sold first-come, first-served until quotas are filled. Hunters can apply individually or as part of a group. Preference points improve your chances in future draws and must be earned or purchased annually. Most quality hunting is on private land, so early planning or booking with an outfitter is advised. Huntin' Fool's License Application Service will assist in application at the time of the draw.
