This outfitter in Kansas offers premier waterfowl hunts on agricultural and cattle ranch lands. The outfitter provides a limited number of hunts each year due to repeat clients. Hunters are accommodated in a restored 1900s farmhouse located on a working farm and cattle ranch, offering an authentic hunting experience.

HUNT DETAILS:
Book your next Kansas waterfowl-hunting trip with this outfitter and you'll never look back! They are a small family run business located in the heart of the Central Flyway zone. Many of their waterfowl properties are located near the 22,500 acre National Wildlife Refuge. For years these birds have followed, & will continue to follow their migratory path from Canada onto Quivira NWR. They receive hundreds of thousands of birds every year in South Central Kansas. The waterfowl then fly off of the Refuge onto their properties to feed & seek refuge. Their properties in are simply some of the best found anywhere for Kansas waterfowl hunting.

When South Central Kansas endures its first arctic cold front they start to receive migratory birds from the Dakotas. Hundreds of thousands of migratory waterfowl follow the same track every year to neighboring National Wildlife Refuge. When the birds fly off of refuge they are eagerly awaiting their arrival on their family owned properties. Some of the properties that you will be hunting have been in the family since the 1880s. It is a Kansas waterfowl hunting experience like no other!

They hunt these waterfowl in layout blinds & larger A-fame style boat blinds. They have a large spread of decoys available at their disposal. They adjust the decoy spread according to the spot that they are hunting, & the birds they are pursuing. The hunters will have a variety of ducks to shoot, and their duck-hunting guides are some of the best in Kansas. The ducks include puddle ducks & diver ducks. The puddle ducks they most typically shoot are Mallard, Wood, Gadwall, Shoveler, & Wigeon ducks. Plus, they also have a variety of diver ducks that include Redheads, Canvasbacks, & Buffleheads.

The peak of the Mallard migration for them typically occurs in early to mid December. Once the cold weather pushes into Kansas to stay for awhile, the majority of the Specklebelly, Lesser Canadian, & Snow Geese fly south. When this occurs they get a big push of northern Canadian geese. The hunters then have the opportunity to hunt ducks & geese from the same location. It depends on the Kansas weather, but they will adjust your hunt according to how the weather is. If the waterfowl are feeding in open fields, they will pursue them there. Should they be hitting ponds, & areas not frozen over, they will pursue those areas. They keep the camp sizes small so that they can more easily adjust your hunt according to what the waterfowl are doing. When their spread of 500+ geese decoys is out, they are always pursuing that “100 Bird” day. They want you to have every opportunity possible to limit out, and that’s why people choose this outfitter as their Kansas waterfowl hunting outfitter!

They usually try to eat one home cooked meal in the evening at the farm. Lunch is usually sandwiches or left overs. For breakfast, you just have to let them know what you like to do & they will do it. The camp sizes are small & usually only run a maximum of four bird hunters at once.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
All hunters are lodged privately for their hunt on their working farm, and cattle ranch. It is a 1900's farm house that has been in the family for many generations. This is the ideal place to brag about your hunt with the guests. All hunters are treated to one home cooked meal in the evening. It is a quiet, clean, and a comfortable place to rest.
