We would like to welcome you to quality hunts with this HFA Endorsed Outfitter. They have been in the hunting business for over 35 years and continue to expand to meet your hunting expectations. They are a full services organization that offer many different hunts in both NM and CO.
This hunt occurs in Southeastern Colorado in Game Management Unit 83. This is a great hunt with the potential of harvesting a a great bull. Over the years on this ranch, clients have had the opportunity to take a 300 plus B&C bull. This hunt, though easier than some, is still an elk hunt. You are hunting at 7,500 to 10,000 feet in elevation, the lodge is located at 9,500 feet. The better physical condition you are in, increases your odds for success. This is not ride around in a vehicle and trying to find an elk. You start the morning out walking and you end up the evening walking. You will want to show up prepared. It is a morning and evening hunt and you will cover lots of ground each day.
In a normal weather year, this area will hold a tremendous number of bulls. The area hunted is 11,000 plus acres and runs from sagebrush flats with wetlands, to timberline and above. They hunt this ranch during the archery seasons, and the second, third, and fourth rifle hunts.
