Hunters will stay in a house with their own room, heated camper trailer or hotel depending on the ranch being hunted.

Archery rut hunts are 5 days 6 nights. Days can be added if there is a guide available. Some of these ranches that are archery only. Archery licenses can be purchased online and mailed (make sure you do this month or two in advance - don’t rely on the mail to get your license in a timely matter) or by going the in to the Game and Fish Office in For Pierre when you arrive.

Rifle hunt success rate is 90-100% on deer ranging from 150”-180” with the occasional 180”+.
