Description

This is an opportunity to experience a premium hunt opportunity for the majestic, wild African Oryx. These amazing animals have been running free-range in New Mexico since the 1960’s. This premium hunting opportunity is located in Southwestern New Mexico along the Rio Grande River, and consists of 365,000 private acres of mostly Chihuahuan and semi-desert grasslands, mixed with cottonwood, willow and salt cedar riparian along the river. This hunt is available year-round for parties of up to 4 hunters, and provides the chance for a true, free-range African oryx hunt in the US. Other species on the ranch include Bison, Desert Bighorn Sheep, Pronghorn Antelope, Desert Mule Deer, Mountain Lion, and Javelina.

This ranch is renowned for its conservation-forward hunting experience that includes Desert Bighorn, African Oryx and Mule Deer. The ranch also offers Bison hunts exclusively through this premium hunting opportunity when mature animals are available. All premium hunt experiences are operated out of the ranch Hacienda, which comes with a luxurious 4-bedroom home. This rambling oasis features a great room, formal dining, Santa Fe style kitchen, game & billiards room, wellness area and large courtyard, perfect for unwinding under the vast desert skies.

The package is inclusive of 5 nights’ accommodations for four hunters, for a 4 day hunt (non-hunting guests may be added for an additional cost). Four professional guides with expert familiarity of the area will be provided. State license, permit fees, meals via private chef, airport and onsite transportation, basic processing, taxes and house gratuities are all included.

The historic Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, a 1,000-mile trail from Mexico City to Santa Fe, traverses the ranch over a 42-mile distance. A Spanish mine dating back to 1658 is also located on the ranch in the Fra Cristobal mountains. The lava tubes of Jornada lava field is the summer home for one of the largest bat populations in North America as well.

This premium experience also includes additional tour experiences after clients have tagged-out.
