Description
A very unique opportunity to hunt Kodiak Island brown bear without a draw tag. This outfitter has secured access to a hunt area that allows hunters to register for the permit. The outfitter will assist you in obtaining the permit once in in the city of Kodiak. From there you will depart to a State of Alaska DNR Commercial Recreational Land Use Permitted, fly-in, heated tent camp on the Northeast portion of Kodiak island. This camp benefits from a southern exposure and is situated adjacent to the beach and a, 200 ft in elevation, knob that serves as an observation platform where you can glass the ocean beach and the immediate forelands for trophy boars. This is primarily a spot and stalk hunt though calling and still hunting techniques have been employed in the past. Hunters have the option of hunting the last ten days of April and or the first 10 days in May. These hunts are all 1X1 and this Master Guide has maintained a 9" average on his brown bear hunts.
