ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter specializing in Bighorn Sheep hunts across the Western U.S. with a proven track record of guiding hunters to top-tier rams—including multiple state and world records in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and New Mexico. They are recognized as one of the most accomplished sheep outfitters in the West. Their hunters have taken over 80 Rocky Mountain rams and 8 California Bighorns scoring over 180 B&C, with 24 of those surpassing 190 B&C. This outfitter also specializes in auction and raffle tags, providing access to multiple units. Their deep knowledge of individual herds and unit conditions makes them a trusted resource for hunters seeking expert guidance on where and how to apply.

HUNT DETAILS:
This outfitter takes pride in delivering top-quality guided hunts by limiting the number of hunters they take each year. This selective approach ensures that each hunt receives full attention and a highly personalized experience. Every hunter is supported by a minimum of two dedicated guides or spotters, maximizing the chances for success.

Guiding hunters to their dream rams is not just a job—it’s their passion and what they dedicate themselves to each season. They're truly grateful to every past and present client who has trusted them to be part of their journey in pursuing these incredible animals.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Accommodations for sheep hunting with this outfitter are designed to support the demands of a high-country, physically challenging hunt while keeping hunters as comfortable and well-prepared as possible. Depending on the unit and location, camps may include backcountry spike camps, wall tents, or lightweight backpack-style setups.

In remote areas, spike camps are typically accessed by horseback or on foot and are strategically placed close to known ram habitat to minimize daily travel. These camps are equipped with essentials like quality tents, warm sleeping gear, and simple but hearty meals to fuel long days of glassing and climbing.

For more accessible hunts, base camps may feature larger wall tents with cots, wood stoves, and a full camp setup staffed by a cook and support team. Regardless of the camp style, hunters can expect experienced guides, well-planned logistics, and a strong emphasis on safety, preparation, and success in the rugged terrain that defines a true Bighorn sheep hunt.

LICENSE INFORMATION:
Most big game tags in Idaho are issued through a limited-entry draw system. For bighorn sheep, there is no bonus point or preference point system—all applicants have equal odds each year, regardless of past participation. Hunters must apply in the spring, and only one application is allowed per year for moose, mountain goat, or bighorn sheep.

Huntin’ Fool’s License Application team can assist you with navigating the draw process, selecting the right units, and submitting your application to maximize your chances in this highly competitive lottery.
