HUNT DETAILS:
Ibex hunting in New Mexico’s Florida Mountains is one of the most physically demanding and thrilling adventures in North American hunting. These hunts are based out of a well-equipped wall tent camp at the base of the mountains, putting you close to the steep, rocky terrain where these agile animals thrive. Spot-and-stalk is the name of the game, often requiring long hikes, technical climbs, and precise shooting. The ibex are incredibly wary and live in some of the most unforgiving country in the state. This is a true mountain hunt—tough, intense, and incredibly rewarding for those up to the challenge.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Hunts are hotel-based, offering a comfortable place to rest and recharge each night after long days in the field. With expert guides who know the mountains inside and out, this is a true mountain hunting experience—rugged, exciting, and incredibly rewarding.
LICENSE INFORMATION:
New Mexico's big game draw operates on a random selection basis without preference or bonus points. Applications are randomly assigned sequence numbers, and licenses are allocated based on these numbers, with a minimum of 84% of licenses awarded to residents, 10% to non-residents applying with an outfitter, and 6% to non-residents applying without an outfitter. Huntin’ Fool’s License Application team will help you apply at the time of application.
