Description

ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter understands that “outfitted” hunting experiences can be expensive and feel that you should have a personalized experience with the best opportunity for accomplishing your hunt expectations. Because you spend your hard earned money to hunt with them, they feel it is important for you to have the custom outdoor experience you deserve. They pride themselves on being successful for their hunters and they put in the time and dedication to make your success happen. Whether they are hunting in Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma or New Mexico they will work hard for your success. Their camps are small and their hunts are custom tailored to maximize your success. The outfitter is about maximizing opportunities for success, not maximizing the number of hunters that fit into camp. It’s their quality vs quantity approach that sets them apart from other industry experiences.

HUNT DETAILS:
This outfitter specializes in New Mexico’s highly sought-after multi-unit Barbary sheep (aoudad) tag, offering hunters the flexibility to pursue game across several top-producing units. These spot-and-stalk hunts take place in some of the state’s most rugged and scenic terrain—steep canyons, rocky ridges, and wide-open mesas. The multi-unit tag allows the guides to adapt quickly to game movement and weather conditions, increasing your odds of finding a mature ram. With expert glassing, strategic planning, and physically demanding days in the field, hunters can expect a challenging and rewarding mountain-style hunt for one of the West’s most underrated big game animals.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Accommodations for the multi-unit Barbary sheep hunt are hotel-based, typically out of Roswell or Artesia, New Mexico. These centrally located hotels offer clean, comfortable rooms, hot showers, and easy access to restaurants and amenities. After long days navigating the rugged terrain in search of mature rams, hunters can relax in a warm, convenient setting that provides all the essentials for rest and recovery. This hotel-based approach also allows flexibility for travel between units, making it an ideal setup for maximizing the opportunities offered by the multi-unit Barbary sheep tag.

LICENSE INFORMATION:
New Mexico's big game draw operates on a random selection basis without preference or bonus points. Applications are randomly assigned sequence numbers, and licenses are allocated based on these numbers, with a minimum of 84% of licenses awarded to residents, 10% to non-residents applying with an outfitter, and 6% to non-residents applying without an outfitter. Huntin’ Fool’s License Application team will help you apply at the time of application.
