Description
ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed outfitter has been providing top-tier hunts on well-managed private land in Nebraska for over 10 years. The Western Nebraska camp operates across prime hunting areas, including the Sandhills, North Platte River, Wildcat Hills, Niobrara River, and Pine Ridge regions. These diverse terrains offer a variety of game, from mule deer, antelope, coyotes, and prairie dogs in the open Sandhills to wild Merriam turkey, mule deer, whitetails, elk, and bighorn sheep in the Wildcat Hills and Pine Ridge. The outfitter offers hunters a comprehensive experience of Western and Northwest Nebraska’s best hunting destinations.
HUNT DETAILS:
The typical mule deer hunting strategy involves spot-and-stalk, a method that has been efficiently mastered over the years. The outfitter also employs ground blinds in areas where they are particularly effective, such as locations where mule deer frequent waterholes on a regular pattern. In these situations, a brush or ground blind is set up to target these specific animals. During spot-and-stalk hunts, the team heads to vantage points in the early morning as the sun rises, beginning the process of glassing thousands of acres of pastureland and agricultural fields. Once the target buck is located, a plan is devised to approach within shooting range and successfully harvest the animal.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Accommodations include all meals and non-alcoholic beverages throughout your stay. Comfortable lodging will be provided for the duration of your visit. A professional guide will be assigned to every two hunters, unless otherwise specified during booking. Field transportation is included, providing convenient travel from the lodging facilities to the hunting properties. Additionally, we will handle the skinning, caping, and deboning of all big game animals to ensure their legal transportation to the taxidermist and processor of your choice.
LICENSE PROCESS:
Platte unit will take 1-2 points to draw, and Pine Ridge takes 1 point to draw. Application period is in June. Huntin' Fool License Application Service will help you apply at the time of application.
