Description
Mountain caribou is the biggest of the caribou species, and this outfitter's guiding area supports the strongest population in British Columbia with good genetics. Caribou can be found throughout the entire area on all types of hunts. The beautiful white manes and magnificent antlers on the big bulls are very impressive, and each one is different and unique. These are resident caribou, but they are always on the move, which makes for an exciting hunt! The outfitter uses horses on most of their caribou hunts as they are found up high on the plateaus and mountainsides. The season runs August 15-October 15, but the outfitter only takes a small number of caribou each year to ensure they only take old bulls. More than half of the caribou they harvest make the record book.
