Description

Focusing on high trophy quality combined with a very customized personal hunt, this outfitter will be offering up to two moose hunts in their area each year. The Katmai Preserve has harbored excellent trophy moose in the past and was proven this season.

There will be two options for moose hunts. A traditional base camp style camp and a float trip down one of the many river systems within their concession. You will leave camp every day and hunt from established spotting knobs up and down the river system. Calling and glassing will be utilized to attract and spot trophy bull moose.

The float trip option is a nice float from the headwaters of one of the main river systems. More area is covered on this 40+ mile float. Camps are mobile but comfortable with a mix of fresh food and freeze-dried, a 10×10 cook tent, and smaller 3-4 man tents for sleep tents. Hunters can expect to float to pre-determined spotting areas where you will stay for 2-3 days and then move further downstream in search of the trophy bull.
