Description

ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter operates throughout the entire state of Montana, providing outfitting services for big game hunting, wing-shooting, and fly fishing for the past 29 years. Specializing in quality hunting concessions, the company focuses on maintaining a limited number of hunters each year to ensure sound management practices and offer genuine opportunities for pursuing trophy-class animals. The team prides itself on a collaborative guide staff, which collectively brings over 100 years of hunting and guiding knowledge and experience to its clients.

HUNT DETAILS:
The outfitter employs a variety of methods, including hunting waterholes, tracking travel patterns, and spot-and-stalk during the rut. You’ll spend time scouting with binoculars and spotting scopes to find the perfect buck. This is a fully guided private land hunt with a 1:1 or 2:1 hunter-to-guide ratio.

The wake-up call is around 4-5 am, followed by predawn preparations at camp. Departure from camp will be as early as needed, with a 15-20 minute drive to the hunting location or glassing point. Hunting typically continues until midday, with a break in the afternoon, and then returns to the field between 1-3 pm, depending on the conditions.

ACCOMODATIONS:
Hunters stay in a comfortable guest cabin near Winnett, conveniently located close to their hunting properties. The surrounding terrain features rocky buttes, cottonwood draws, low hills, and open prairie, making this one of their most accessible camps.

The outfitter will have a full time camp chef and will work with local restaurants to provide guests fresh, home cooked, hearty, meals keeping hunters well nourished throughout their stay. Breakfast is usually kept light to get hunters out in the field early, lunches provide guests with a nutritional recharge and dinners are served in coordination with the guides and clients returning to camp usually after dark.

LICENSE INFORMATION:
This hunt requires a tag obtained through a draw, with the application deadline typically at the end of March. For assistance with the application process or questions about securing a tag, please contact Huntin' Fool's License Application Team.
