ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter is a family-oriented outfitting business established in 1985, owned and operated by a husband and wife team along with their three sons. Located in south-central Montana's stunning Paradise Valley—just thirty-five miles north of Yellowstone National Park—the business is based on a spectacular, game-rich, 3,000-acre private ranch nestled at the base of the rugged Absaroka Mountain Range.
They offer fair chase trophy hunts on both their private ranch and the adjoining wilderness within the Gallatin National Forest. Their U.S. Forest Service permit grants access to more than 50,000 acres of secure wildlife habitat. The vast and majestic terrain in which they operate ranges in elevation from 5,200 to over 10,000 feet.
Their long-standing success is reflected not only in the harvest of trophy game animals but also in the lasting memories and satisfaction of each unique hunting experience. The outfitter is dedicated to delivering high-quality hunts that consistently exceed expectations.
HUNT DETAILS:
These special drawing hunts offer a rare and exciting opportunity to pursue some of Montana’s most coveted big game in truly breathtaking backcountry terrain. Mountain goat hunts in this rugged wilderness are considered once-in-a-lifetime experiences, available only to those fortunate enough to draw a limited-entry tag. Successful hunters will typically pack into remote alpine areas on horseback and spend their days hunting from a comfortable wall tent camp. The challenge of pursuing a mature mountain goat in this high-country setting, combined with the stunning scenery and traditional outfitting style, makes for an unforgettable and deeply rewarding hunting adventure.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Historically, this hunt has been a traditional horseback pack-in experience, featuring comfortable wall tent accommodations and hearty home-cooked meals. It offers an authentic wilderness adventure that combines rustic charm with modern comfort, allowing hunters to fully immerse themselves in the natural beauty and rugged terrain of the backcountry.
LICENSE INFORMATION:
In Montana, bonus points are used in a random lottery drawing for Moose, Bighorn Sheep, Mountain Goat, and Antelope permits. Bonus points accumulate when you apply for a hunt and are unsuccessful. The maximum number of bonus points someone can have going into the draw is 10. Huntin’ Fool’s License Application team will help you apply at the time of application.
