ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter operates throughout the entire state of Montana, providing outfitting services for big game hunting, wing-shooting, and fly fishing for the past 29 years. Specializing in quality hunting concessions, the company focuses on maintaining a limited number of hunters each year to ensure sound management practices and offer genuine opportunities for pursuing trophy-class animals. The team prides itself on a collaborative guide staff, which collectively brings over 100 years of hunting and guiding knowledge and experience to its clients.
HUNT DETAILS:
Most spring black bear hunts in Western Montana utilize spot-and-stalk techniques. Hunters use binoculars to scan open areas and ridgelines before planning a strategic approach. This physically demanding method requires preparedness for varying weather and rugged terrain, but it offers breathtaking scenery and a rewarding challenge.
Breakfast is served at the cabin, and guides will pick you up between 7-8am. The hunt lasts all day until dark, with lunch provided in the field. Return to Hamilton in the evening, with timing depending on the day's hunt location.
ACCOMODATIONS:
The Mara Cabins, located just over a mile from downtown Hamilton, offer a luxurious retreat with four exclusive cabins designed for privacy and serenity. Each newly built cabin blends modern luxury with stunning mountain views, providing a perfect base for exploring the Bitterroot Valley. Guests can enjoy hiking, fishing, or simply relaxing in the natural surroundings. The cabins are equipped with upscale amenities for a comfortable stay, and a full-time camp chef prepares hearty, home-cooked meals, including light breakfasts, nutritious field lunches, and dinners after a day of hunting. The Mara Cabins offer seclusion, comfort, and easy access to local attractions.
LICENSE INFORMATION:
Montana bear tags can be purchased over-the-counter and are the clients responsibility.
