Description
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter is located in Northeastern Montana, not far from Fort Peck Lake, Missouri Breaks and the Milk River. This outfitter is a working cattle ranch; their family is the fifth generation on the ranch and they are one of the oldest licensed outfitters in operation in the area.
These are public land guided elk hunts in units 622 and 630 in the Missouri River breaks. Done with a base camp with camper trailers, driving to hunting areas in the mornings and hiking in from there. Calling, spot and stalk, and glassing are all used depending on different situations and how elk are reacting. They hunt all day unless they relocate to stay with the elk. Occasionally, they spike out with camp on their backs to save time hiking and driving, and to be right in the action every morning. The Missouri River Breaks tend to produce some of the best elk hunting in the state, offering great opportunities on bulls in the 260-330+ range.
A draw is required for this tag and Huntin' Fool License Application Service will help you apply at the time of application ($65)
