Minnesota Trophy Black Bear Hunts

ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter is located in the northeastern part of the state near Lake Superior, this area is home to one of the largest black bear populations in the United States. With hunting experience dating back to 1978, the 25 square miles surrounding the lodge offer prime black bear habitat - truly a hunter's paradise. Set within the Superior National forest, this region boasts some of the highest bear densities in the state.

HUNT DETAILS:
Hunting is conducted over bait, and the outfitter guarantees an active bait site for every hunter. Comfortable and secure stands are set up for relatively close shots, and hunters are escorted to and from their stands. Recovery, field dressing, skinning, and meat care are all included as part of your stay.

This outfitter caters to all types of hunting, including Archery, Rifle, Muzzleloader and Handgun. They hunt the first few weeks of September each year. They hunt an area that is approximately a 25 mile radius around the lodge, and much of the hunting is done from ATV's. You are welcome to bring your own machines as well. They average over 85% of their hunters having a good opportunity at taking a bear, and you will find their knowledge of bears entertaining and educational. Needless to say, they know bears and bear hunting.

The surrounding area features excellent sightseeing opportunities, with numerous tourist attractions just a short drive away. Known for its quality fishing, the region also offers additional activities like grouse hunting and archery deer hunting during the third week of bear season. LICENSE INFORMATION:
Minnesota uses a lottery system for bear tags, and the HFA office will assist you with your application to ensure you apply for the correct unit and season. The hunting area has a high draw success rate and typically requires minimal preference points to obtain a tag.
