Description
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter offers the most deer species in Mexico, with their primary focus areas being in Sonora and the Yucatan Peninsula. They have been operating in Sonora since 2015 for mule deer, and their operation continues to grow each year. They have been able to pick up more and more ranches each year that goes by, and have now accumulated enough quality land to offer some exceptional opportunities.
The ranches they hunt are located within 1-2 hours of the Hermosillo International Airport. They have three ranches they hunt from and those span from 30,000 - 45,000 acres each depending on the ranch. The ranches are managed well, including feeding and water programs that are active year round.
The guides are a mix of Mexican and American guides, and they are all experienced, with many years of guiding hunters. This hunt is a spot and stalk hunt that includes glassing from vantage points, as well as hunting from a High-Rack. Both of these methods are effective depending on the areas of the ranches being hunted. The high racks are used for the valley floors and vantage points are used when hunting closer to the mountains.
Accommodations are nicely kept ranch houses that includes a full time cook, as well as additional assistance around the ranch during your hunt for game care and every day needs.
Food is authentic mexican meals, and requests are always welcome.
