Hunt Details
Description
As one of Southern Africa’s premier hunting operations, this family run operation has been guiding in Africa since 1999, and they’ve been in full operation as an outfitter since 2004. They are based in the Limpopo Province of South Africa and have other licensed companies and partnerships in several different countries across the continent, including the Eastern Cape, the Free State / Northern Cape, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia, and Zambia. All of their hunting is fair chase, ethical, and will provide you with incredible opportunities to take world class trophies that you can be proud of. They offer all plains game hunting and safari opportunities, and are also a Dangerous Game licensed professional hunter.
South Africa is the base for this outfitter and home to their main hunting lodge. It has the most abundant herds of wildlife in all of Africa and is the world’s premier example of sustainable use conservation boasting the largest hunting economy in all of Africa as well as the largest animal populations (approx. 25 million). The majority of their hunting is done in the Limpopo Province but they do occasionally venture into the other provinces for specialty species not available close to the lodge/camp.
The Limpopo Province is the Mecca of Plains Game hunting in all of Africa. This region, known as the Bushveld, boasts more trophy animals than most other regions of Africa combined. The terrain is mostly flat with some slight undulation and thick thorn infested Bush. This is not long range hunting territory and most rifle shots are less than 150 yards. This makes for much more exciting and action packed hunting. Private land is well managed and wildlife is thriving providing you with the most game-rich hunting environment in all of Africa. This is probably the most diverse safari country in all of Africa.
Rifle hunting in Limpopo, South Africa can be an exciting and memorable experience for hunters. The region offers a diverse range of wildlife, from small plains game like impala and springbok, to large and dangerous game like buffalo and lion. This variety means that hunters can tailor their hunting experience to their preferences and skill level, whether they are looking for a challenging stalk or a thrilling encounter with dangerous game. Hunting in Limpopo is typically conducted using a hunting vehicle or by stalking on foot, depending on the terrain and the type of game being hunted. Hunting vehicles allow hunters to cover greater distances and access remote areas of the game reserve, while stalking on foot allows for a more immersive and challenging hunting experience.
One of the most exciting aspects of rifle hunting in Limpopo is the opportunity to hunt big game in their natural habitat. The region is vast and it's teeming with wildlife, allowing hunters to immerse themselves in the wild and experience the thrill of the hunt. Stalking prey through the rugged terrain of the African bushveld, tracking the animals' movements and anticipating their behavior, can be a challenging and exhilarating experience for hunters. Many hunters relish the opportunity to add a beautiful and impressive animal mount to their collection, and Limpopo offers numerous species that are highly prized for their antlers, horns, or tusks. Whether it is a massive kudu bull with sweeping horns, a majestic eland with massive spiral horns, or a formidable buffalo with sharp curved horns, the potential for a memorable trophy is always present.
Hunters in Limpopo typically use a range of rifles and calibers, depending on the type of game being hunted. For plains game, such as impala or kudu, a medium caliber rifle such as a .270 or .300 may be sufficient. For dangerous game, such as buffalo or lion, a larger caliber rifle such as a .375 or .416 may be required. Make sure and converse with the outfitter to dial in the caliber(s) to be paired up with the animals you plan to hunt. The outfitter also offers firearms for use if you prefer to use theirs.
In the other countries that they operate in, most hunting is done by walk and stalk, ambush, and/or temporary brush blinds. The hunting is challenging but extremely rewarding. Most of these areas are more suited for clients that have a safari or two under the belt and are moving on to the more challenging and unique African species. These are all custom safaris tailor made for your unique needs.
In addition to the thrill of the hunt and the potential for a trophy animal, rifle hunting in Limpopo also offers a chance to experience the local culture and hospitality. This outfitter offers luxurious accommodations, along with delicious meals and opportunities to learn about the local culture and traditions.
