ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter has dedicated his entire adult life to guiding. As a second-generation guide, he grew up immersed in the big game hunting profession, working alongside his father. In 2012, he founded his own outfit and soon after secured a highly competitive U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Special Use Permit for Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and Alaska Peninsula National Wildlife Refuge, where he operates exclusive guide use areas. In 2017, he earned yet another sole guide use area on the Alaska Peninsula. While building his own successful business, he continued to work full-time with his father, serving as his lead guide on Kodiak. Following his father’s passing in 2024, he took over guiding operations in Aniakchak Preserve, Alaska Peninsula NWR, and Kodiak NWR, carrying on the family legacy.
Guiding has instilled in him a deep appreciation for wild places and the game that inhabits them. His business motto, “Wilderness Fair Chase Hunts,” reflects his commitment to 100% fair chase hunts conducted with the highest ethical standards. His goal is to provide hunters with a true Alaskan adventure—one that honors the land, its wildlife, and the mission of National Wildlife Refuges and Park Preserves.
HUNT DETAILS:
This outfitter operates exclusively within a designated Guide Use Area inside the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge, offering prime goat hunting territory with a strong population of both mountain goats and Sitka blacktail deer. As with any goat hunt, this adventure is physically demanding. Hunters must be prepared to carry a heavy pack and navigate steep, rugged terrain for several days to achieve success. Those willing to take on the challenge will find a high opportunity and success rate with this experienced outfitter.
Your adventure begins upon arrival at the main camp, where your guide will review your gear to ensure you're fully prepared for the 7-day mountain hunt. Typically, two guides assist to help distribute the load and manage the heavy packing when a billy is harvested. From camp—just 200 yards from the beach—you'll hike about two miles into prime goat country, setting up a spike camp with lightweight two-man tents and freeze-dried meals.
As a bonus, Sitka blacktail deer hunting is included at no extra charge! While the focus is on goats, many hunters enjoy success on both species.
ACCOMODATIONS:
Mountain-style tent camping with freeze-dried meals. The camps are designed to provide a dry, efficient base for your Alaskan adventure, ensuring the comfort and energy needed to focus on the hunt. Though simple, the setup offers all the essentials for a successful and memorable experience. With careful planning and attention to detail, the camp is tailored to meet your needs, blending practicality with comfort to enhance your overall enjoyment of this unforgettable outdoor adventure.
LICENSE PROCESS:
Over-the-counter harvest tickets are also available for most areas. Your license and tags can be purchased online through the ADFG website at least a month in advance.
