Description
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter runs a small family owned and operated business in Idaho. They carry multiple state licenses, permits, and private leases to be able to offer high quality, successful hunts. They offer hunts for Black Bear, Mule Deer and Whitetail Deer, Elk, and Mountain Lion. You can also harvest a wolf while on your hunt if the opportunity presents itself. Tag must be purchased prior to hunt. They also offer high mountain fishing trips as add-ons to their hunts. They raise and train their own dogs, they cook, and they personally guide 85% of their clients. This is what they do for a living.
This is a guided archery or rifle elk hunt in the Sawtooth zone in central Idaho. As an outfitter, they are allocated tags so clients don’t need to apply and draw the tag. The outfitter is only allocated a certain number of tags, and they're usually booked by the middle of summer each year, so booking in advance is necessary. They run up to four hunters per week out of camp. Along with the guides, they have a dedicated crew of spotters that spend their time in the field each week locating bulls for clients.
Hunts take place from cabins/houses with most modern amenities. Those looking for more of a backcountry hunt can arrange to camp out in heated tents overnight in areas that are harder to access. Along with hiking, they use horses and atvs to hunt their area which make this a great hunt for just about anyone.
This outfitter is all about maintaining a high success and clients who have time to stay extra days in camp are welcome to without any charge. Bulls in the area will range from 250-310 with some over 320 being taken each year.
