Horseback Yukon Moose Hunts

This HFA Endorsed Outfitters offers traditional horseback hunts for Moose. Horseback hunts allow you to venture into remote areas where the outfitters has harvested some remarkable moose with mature bulls averaging 58"-60", although they have also taken trophies measuring in the 70" range. They have maintained a 95% success rate and it is quite common to harvest another animal with their moose hunts. A Moose-Caribou or Moose-Grizzly combination is quite popular with this hunt. Tags for all the animals are included in the hunt price. Harvest fees are extra for any additional animals harvested.

Moose hunting terrain is mountainous with wide treed valleys, lots of high willow ridges, muskeg and small ponds. They are conducted from comfortable camps with cabins throughout the area, but be prepared to travel with a spike camp. They use Beckel canvas tents with traveling hunts. These are one on one hunts, with only one hunter in camp at at time. This means that their focus in solely on you, which increases your chances of success.

These hunts are conducted over the course of 10 hunt days, with a pack in day on each end of the hunt. They will provide airport pickup for the ultimate convenience. Being in northern Canada, the weather can be fairly unpredictable, so it is best to always pack for cool weather.
