ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter is a family owned and operated outfitter in Northwest Colorado. They are going into their fifteenth year of giving hunters unforgettable memories pursuing elk, mule deer, and antelope. They operate on two ranches, both of which have excellent habitat that holds elk, mule deer, and antelope throughout the spring, summer, and fall.
HUNT DETAILS:
Their Dry Fork property is 3,000 acres and sits 10 miles North of Hayden Colorado in GMU 441. Their Williams Park property is 7,500 acres and sits 14 miles South of Hayden Colorado in GMU 13. All of their rifle hunts are fully guided two hunters to one guide and archery hunts are guided one on one; they include meals, lodging, and transportation from the Yampa Valley Regional airport. When you book a private land hunt, you should truly feel the benefits of exclusive access. That’s why this outfitter limits the number of hunters each season and incorporates rest periods between hunts to keep pressure low and game movement natural. The result is a high-quality experience with scenic landscapes, professional hospitality, and abundant wildlife—one of the reasons so many hunters return year after year. This is a high-success hunt for bucks in the 160"–180" class, with mature high-country mule deer often moving down to the ranches during the rut, offering outstanding late-season opportunities.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Colorado mule deer hunting with this endorsed outfitter offers the ideal blend of comfort, access, and a true Western experience. Hunts take place on well-managed private ground with low hunting pressure, allowing for a relaxed and enjoyable hunt. Accommodations include a clean, comfortable ranch house with all the modern amenities—private bedrooms, hot showers, and a welcoming place to unwind after a day in the field. You’ll enjoy hearty, home-cooked meals each day, along with guided access to scenic mule deer country. For hunters seeking a quality private land experience with great hospitality and beautiful surroundings, this hunt delivers.
LICENSE INFORMATION:
Colorado uses a preference point system for drawing licenses in limited mule deer units. Each unit and season can require a different number of preference points to draw successfully, while some areas offer over-the-counter (OTC) options for other species—but not for mule deer. Huntin’ Fool’s License Application Service can assist you with navigating the draw, helping you apply for the best mule deer units based on your goals and point level at the time of application. Planning ahead is key to securing a quality Colorado mule deer hunt.
