Description
This is a free-range, spot and stalk hunt on 250,000 acres. It requires a lot of glassing. The closest big towns are Del Rio, Texas and Alpine, Texas. The rut is late in September and October. Most hunts are conducted in November through mid-March before it gets hot. Rifle hunting during the rut is the easiest. You will hunt and glass all day long.
The outfitter can taylor these hunts for anyone. You can hunt from trucks or strap on a backpack and hike all day. This is not a hard hunt. Most glassing is done from a truck and then you'll proceed on foot.
Lodging is a ranch house, lodges, or hotels. The average aoudad size is 30", and the largest one ever taken was 36". The average opportunity and harvest success percentages are both 100%.
