HUNT DETAILS:
New Mexico offers exceptional black bear hunting, and this outfitter provides thrilling, fair-chase hunts using well-trained hunting dogs. Experienced guides and dog handlers closely monitor bait sites for fresh signs of mature bears before releasing the dogs to track their scent. Once the dogs locate a bear, it will either tree or stand its ground, giving hunters an exciting opportunity to take an ethical shot.
All black bear hunts are 100% fair chase, with a focus on harvesting only mature males. Hunters can choose to use a rifle, bow, or muzzleloader, as long as they hunt within the designated season. With access to hundreds of thousands of acres across both private leases and public land, hunters have ample opportunity to pursue a trophy bear.
These hunts can be physically demanding, as hunters follow the dogs through rugged terrain throughout the day. To ensure the best experience, hunters should arrive prepared and in good physical condition.
