Cape Buffalo are also available on some game reserves for dangerous game hunting.
Hunting methods include spot-and-stalk, which is the most common, especially in the mountains and bushveld. Walk-and-stalk is more popular for bowhunters, and they do have the option of hunting from blinds, which would be sometimes used near waterholes or feeding areas. This specific operation is a mecca for long-range rifle hunting, and those hunters that want to climb to vantage points, glass up game, and make their plan of attack, either closing the distance to a manageable distance, or making longer shots for those that are qualified to do so.
