ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter takes great pride in sharing the unspoiled beauty and abundant wildlife of Wyoming’s Bighorn National Forest and Cloud Peak Wilderness with their guests. Whether it's a scenic summer horseback adventure, backcountry camping and fly fishing trip, or a world-class big game hunt, they are fully committed to sharing their passion and lifestyle with you. It's an experience that promises to leave a lasting impression.
HUNT DETAILS:
There’s no animal quite like the Rocky Mountain Elk. These majestic creatures roam some of Wyoming’s most stunning and remote areas, and the outfitter feels privileged to own and operate wilderness camps in one of Wyoming’s premier, limited-quota units. They offer both archery and rifle hunts from drive-in or wilderness camps located in the Bighorn National Forest and Cloud Peak Wilderness.
This is a physically demanding hunt, requiring daily horseback rides, so it's important to arrive in good shape and ready for the adventure. With great elk populations, prime hunting grounds, and a team of expert guides, you’ll have the opportunity to take home a top-tier trophy. The owner personally guides every hunt, working closely with his team to ensure the best experience. They treat each license as if it were their own and limit the number of hunters each season to maintain a focus on quality over quantity, striving for excellence for every hunter.
They hunt Wyoming Elk Unit 45. Their base is a comfortable drive-in camp, approximately 30 miles from their hometown of Ten Sleep, Wyoming. Early season finds them hunting from one of our remote wilderness camps and/or one of there spike camps. When the snow flies and the bulls start migrating the most effective hunts are done from the base camp. This is a very unique opportunity to be hunting where the elk are…always.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Their hunts are all-inclusive with the exception of your travel, licenses, and gear. They provide very comfortable, oversized cots in wall tents, a hot cowboy shower (in base camp) and exceptional, home-cooked meals. You can count on strong and dependable horses and professional guides. They spend countless days in the area in the summer hosting pack trips, clearing trails, setting camps, and scouting. They know how many years it has taken you to draw this tag, and you can expect a true trophy hunt.
LICENSE INFORMATION:
Licenses for all seasons and hunts in Wyoming are allocated through the state draw. Each unit and season require different numbers of preference points to draw a license. Huntin' Fool License Application Service will help you apply at the time of application.
