Description
These HFA Endorsed lion hunts take place in Western Colorado in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in some of the best lion country in the state. The topography will range from juniper and sage flats to steep mountains slope ranging from 5,000-9,500'. These hunts will be conducted out of 4×4 vehicles along with ATV’s, and Snowmobiles. Days will start well before light in the truck as you drive roads with your guides searching for tracks. With well trained hounds that are trained to hunt in most any conditions, past clients have had incredible success on mature cats.
Dogs are all walkers and plots, some have been involved in mountain lion study’s. They range from 11 months old to 8 yrs old. Dogs are truck to tree type dogs, work hard and well together. Outfitter keeps them legged up and in shape year round. Dogs can catch lion or bobcat. Dry ground hunt or hunt the snow.
