ABOUT OUTFITTER:
For 29 years this HFA Endorsed Outfitter, which is family owned and operated, has been guiding high success rates with elk, bear, and mountain lion hunts! Their Central Idaho hunting land is located in the Salmon-Challis National Forest, which borders the famous Frank Church Wilderness, and represent over 600 square miles of prime Idaho country. The weapons of choice are rifle, muzzleloader, hand guns and archery. All of their Idaho hunts are guided, so no drop camps are available. For the ultimate experience in hunting destinations, they invite you to take a look at the different Idaho big game hunts they offer.
HUNT DETAILS:
This experienced outfitting family specializes in mountain lion hunts, offering fully guided and action-packed hunting adventures. Their gear is top-of-the-line, featuring state-of-the-art GPS tracking systems, snow machines, 4×4 trucks, and ATVs. To maximize efficiency in the field, they’ve custom-designed a fast-loading and unloading system for their snowmobiles—saving valuable time during the hunt. They also run some of the finest hounds in the business, known for their tracking ability and drive.
Their guides scout thoroughly before every hunt to increase success and provide the best possible experience. Hunters are never pressured to harvest a lion—each hunt is tailored to the individual’s goals. Because conditions can be extremely cold, proper warm clothing is essential. Hunts take place in Units 28, 29, 37-A, and 36-B—areas known as some of the best mountain lion habitat in the Western U.S. These regions are prime wintering grounds for elk, deer, sheep, and goats, and have consistently produced record-book cats over the years.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
These 8-day, fully guided 1x1 hunts include all meals and comfortable lodging in a well-appointed cabin. Please note, the outfitter observes a no-hunting policy on Saturdays.
LICENSE INFORMATION:
Over-the-counter tags are available and can be purchased online through the Idaho Fish and Game website. You will need to coordinate with HFA or your outfitter prior to purchasing to ensure you purchase the required tag and license.
