ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter offers a wide range of big game hunting experiences in Wyoming's Bighorn Mountains—an ideal setting for unforgettable adventures. With access to quality bull elk and prime mountain lion territory, they deliver exceptional opportunities for serious hunters. The valley's creek corridors provide excellent habitat for both whitetail and mule deer. Committed to the craft year-round, they spend the off-season scouting, maintaining trails, managing livestock, and securing leases. Outfitting isn’t just a season—it's their full-time passion. To maintain a high level of service and success, they limit the number of hunters each year, ensuring every client receives a personalized, high-quality experience.
HUNT DETAILS:
Rifle Elk:
Hunts run annually from October 15th through November 4th and are conducted over a five-day period from a convenient drive-in camp. You'll hunt using UTVs or horseback, depending on your comfort level. Success comes from getting off the beaten path—glassing canyons and covering vast terrain to locate mature bulls. You can expect to encounter numerous elk throughout the hunt, with a focus on pursuing bulls scoring 300 and above. This time of year often brings snow and colder temperatures, creating ideal conditions for elk hunting. After each day in the field, you'll return to camp for a warm, comfortable night’s rest.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Their camp is as centrally located as possible in elk country with an elevation of 7000 feet (often winter-like conditions). You can expect to stay in a wall tent, provided with cots and a wood stove for heat. They have a camp cook who will provide warm breakfasts, packed lunches, snacks for throughout the day, and a warm home-cooked meal in the evenings. They pride themselves in creating a clean, comfortable, and organized camp.
LICENSE INFORMATION:
Licenses for all seasons and hunts in Wyoming are allocated through the state draw. Each unit and season require different numbers of preference points to draw a license. Huntin' Fool License Application Service will help you apply at the time of application.
