ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed Outfit is a small business co-owned by registered guides and year-round Alaskan residents. Since 2020, they have offered all-inclusive, fully guided adventures across Alaska in every season. Whether you're interested in hunting, trapping, fishing, or sightseeing, they have the perfect trip for you! Their experienced team is dedicated to providing a fun, safe, and professional experience while helping you achieve your goals in “The Last Frontier.”
HUNT DETAILS:
Your Alaskan grizzly hunt begins in Anchorage, where you’ll arrive with all the necessary gear for the adventure ahead. A representative will personally pick you up from your hotel, and from there, the journey north begins. You’ll travel through Denali State Park, passing Alaskan towns along the way, before reaching Cantwell. From there, you’ll turn east onto the Denali Highway, venturing nearly 70 miles into the heart of prime grizzly country—your destination: Alpine Creek Lodge.
Though not physically difficult, hunters will earn there bear with time invested. Sure, the action can happen fast, but you could also invest a significant amount of time waiting for the right bear to hit the bait. Whether rain or shine, it doesn't matter as hunters are out of the elements in ground blind placed within reasonable rifle distance from the bait. Low light periods are often the key to success so an overnight (it doesn't really get dark) hunt is often the best approach. As all of these hunts are conducted 1x1, the hunter and guide will be able to pass the time in good company.
During this time of year, grizzlies are on the move—fresh off feeding on moose calves and fully engaged in the breeding season. These massive predators roam constantly, searching for food and mates. Our strategically placed baits lie along major travel corridors, enticing these powerful bears to stop, giving you the ultimate opportunity for a successful hunt.
This region sits just south of the Alaska Range and the classification of bears varies by organization. GSCO and SCI classify the bears as Grizzly while B&C and P&Y classify them as Brown Bears.
Your grizzly hunt spans eight days, but thanks to the easy road access, flexibility is key. Once you've harvested your bear, you can head out immediately or spend a few extra days unwinding at the lodge. Explore, cast a line for grayling, heck you might even pan for some gold...
This is your chance to experience the raw, untamed wilderness of Alaska and take on one of North America’s most formidable predators.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Alpine Creek Lodge offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Hunters can expect a private room or share a cozy cabin with just one other hunter. Comfortable beds, hot showers, and three hearty meals a day ensure you're well-rested and fueled for the hunt. The lodge also features WiFi, satellite TV, an on-site bar, and plenty of post-hunt activities like fishing, wildlife viewing, and even gold panning.
Days are long during June in Alaska and the bear rut is in full swing! Here is an opportunity to experience Alaska without the extreme logistics often associated with the backcountry. Based out of a lodge on the road system, hunters have all the comforts one would expect from a beautiful lodge while still being able to venture into the wilds and hunt bears. Not many places allow you to stay this comfortable, well fed and connected via WiFi and still expect to have a great hunt. The ability to drive to the lodge adds to the flexibility, with no concerns for weather delaying your travel plans. Five star living and good bear hunting is hard to beat!
LICENSE INFORMATION:
No need to worry about your license and tag, they’ll be ready for you at camp and are already included in the hunt price!
