Description

These are free-range, spot and stalk, tower blinds, or stand hunts. Feeders are used to attract deer. This area is 90,000 acres. Hunting takes place on river bottoms on one ranch, and cedar and brushy rims on the other ranches. The closest big town is Del Rio, Texas. This is a two deer harvest county.

Kids, ages 6-17, can purchase a license for $7. This is a great hunt to bring a kid on and each shoot a deer. Rifle hunting during the rut is the easiest. The rut is December 1-15.
Hunt during the morning and evening. Rifle hunts are good most of the day during the rut.
It is not a hard hunt. Most glassing is done from a truck and then you proceed on foot.
Stand hunting produces good deer as well. The biggest buck harvested was 173".

Hogs and predators are free to shoot while you are on this hunt.
