For hunters seeking a true wilderness adventure, this backcountry horseback trophy elk hunt in Alberta delivers an unparalleled experience. This hunt takes place deep in the rugged Canadian Rockies, where dense timber, and sprawling alpine meadows provide the perfect habitat for bull elk. Guided by an experienced outfitter, hunters will ride into remote, untouched terrain where the sights, sounds, and challenges of a true backcountry hunt come to life. This adventure begins on horseback, as hunters and guides travel miles into prime elk country, far beyond road access and the pressures of heavily hunted areas. Riding through steep mountain trails, crossing crystal-clear streams, and navigating thick forests, hunters are immersed in the raw beauty of Alberta’s wilderness. The journey itself is an adventure, with well-trained horses carrying hunters and gear into this remote area.
