Taking place primarily during the rut in mid-September, hunters will trek deep into the timber, calling and pursuing bulls in their natural habitat. This is their most physically demanding hunt, so good conditioning is highly recommended for those eager to chase bulls. You will spend the day in the timber calling and moving after the bulls.
This hunt can also be done outside the mid-September time frame of combined with another species. The only difference in these situations will be the methods used. You will need to adjust as needed to target the animals as the situation dictates to match their pattern for the timeframe you choose outside of the rut.
