ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA-endorsed outfitter offers premier big game hunts in one of Alaska’s most abundant regions! What defines the ultimate Alaska hunt? Is it spotting trophy-sized bears in the remote wilderness of the Alaska Peninsula? Riding horseback into the rugged Wrangell Mountains in pursuit of moose, Dall’s sheep, wolf, wolverine, grizzly, mountain goat, and black bear? Or flying into pristine alpine ranges for an unforgettable mountain goat hunt? Whatever your adventure, this outfitter provides world-class experiences in Alaska’s most breathtaking landscapes, ensuring an unforgettable hunting expedition in the Last Frontier!
HUNT DETAILS:
These hunts are conducted in an exclusive concession in the Wrangell St Elias National Preserve. This is one of the most dynamic concessions in the Alaska with elevations around 800 feet along the Chitna River and rising to the peak of the fifth tallest peak in America, Mount Blackburn, at over 16,000'. The glacial valleys within the concession are ringed by 10,000' ridges and ancient glaciers. Rest assured, the animals don't live way up there but it sure is wonderful to behold. Alaska-Yukon moose hunting in this concession is world-class and the outfitter has one of the best horse outfits in the state. Moose are harvested conservatively with just 6-8 hunts booked each year. Many all-time Boone and Crocket moose have come from this region.
Additional animals are available on a trophy fee basis on these hunts and the likely hood of additional opportunity is high. You might even find a bonus sheep! Talk to an HFA advisor and get more information on hunting big moose in the Wrangell preserve with a top-notch outfitter.
ACCOMODATIONS:
Enjoy comfortable mountain-style tent camping with a combination of freeze-dried meals and limited fresh foods delivered at the start of your hunt. The camps are designed to provide a dry, efficient base for your Alaskan adventure, ensuring the comfort and energy needed to focus on the hunt. Though simple, the setup offers all the essentials for a successful and memorable experience. With careful planning and attention to detail, the camp is tailored to meet your needs, blending practicality with comfort to enhance your overall enjoyment of this unforgettable outdoor adventure.
LICENSE PROCESS:
Over-the-counter harvest tickets are also available for most areas. Your license and tags can be purchased online through the ADFG website at least a month in advance.
