Description
One of the best horse outfits in Alaska! This Master Guide has been in the business since 1992 and knows his country and the game in it. Whether pursuing sheep, moose, caribou, bears, or wolves this outfitter has the experience to get it done.
After a short flight from Healy along the parks highway you will find yourself in the foothills of the north slope of the Alaska Range. With mountain peaks and sprawling wilderness greeting you when you land. Your guide will meet you and get you settled into camp. This is a hard working outfit and you are in for a hunt if you throw in with this crew.
With proven glassing and calling knobs scattered throughout the country you can expect to see multiple bulls over the course of your 10 day hunt. When a good bull cruises into your area the game begins. If the situation is right your guide will call the bull into your lap. Other situations set up better for a spot and stalk scenario. Regardless of the method employed you can expect to have an exciting encounter with your bull!
When your bull is down you will be grateful to have your experienced guide on the scene. Professional field care is the standard with this crew and your meat and trophies will be in skilled hands. After the field care is complete it is relief to know that his steady horses will be carrying the load back to camp. Following a pack string of strong horses through this country while watching your moose antlers sway rhythmically back and forth as the horses work their way down the trail is a sight to behold.
Hunters that want a top quality backcountry moose hunt should consider this outfitter.
