Description
The Alaska Peninsula is home to the largest concentration of Brown bears in the state. The terrain near Lake Iliamna and Kamashak Bay is marine influenced with open tundra. Streams with abundant salmon runs and tidal beaches are prime hunting areas. These 8 day hunts are conducted from two locations, choose between a privately held cabin near a salmon stream or tent camp with a 250ft tall glassing knob that allows you to see berry patches, ridges, and tundra. If you prefer a longer hunt, this outfitter also offers a ten day, 2X2 in the same region that would be great for a father son or a couple good hunting buddies. This hunt is to be conducted from a State of Alaska DNR Exclusive Commercial Recreational Use Permitted,fly-in, heated tent camp that benefits from it’s location being adjacent to a salmon spawning stream/lake complex and that utilizes (2) 100’ elevated knobs each of which are directly above prime fishing pools. A lot of options here for your chance at 9ft+ brown bears with an outfitter that holds a Master Guide License.
Hunting licenses and metal locking bear tags can be purchased online as well as the registration permit by accessing the State of Alaska website. No drawing permit is necessary.
Enjoy airport pick up and drop off from Iliamna for your arrival and departure along with accommodations before and after the hunt.
